No. 7 - San Antonio...
We connected with our Club Pro Seth Robles through our friends at the Chasing Scratch podcast early this year.
A passion project for Seth in bringing his club to life with a DIY approach inside his attached garage, No. 7 officially launched a week ago.
You can see that the NE San Antonio metro is about to be spoiled with unlimited use of this club for just $65/month!

...No. 10 - Charleston
Actually, in Summerville, SC for those familiar with the Lowcountry, No. 10 is quickly bringing a really fun group together with our Club Pro Adam Christopher excited to be up and running.
Having followed us for over a year, Adam got sick of the prices being charged nearby and decided to reach out. 2 weeks later his sim was delivered and installed. 3 weeks after that we're at 12 members and well ahead of our 15-20 member target over the first 3 months.

If you, someone you know, or maybe a group of friends are interested in putting up the sim and the space, we'll support all other aspects of turning it into a fun and laid back golf hang for a small group nearby. From insurance coordination, to marketing. Vetting members (with a background check), to onboarding. Booking and duest management to tech support. And most fun of all - the games and community management too.

Now at 150 "Neighbors" π²π |
|
|
When you start with a crazy idea out of a crummy old garage, things can take a little while to get going.
Excited to now be running in 7 cities across 4 states, and while it took 18 months to get to our first 100 members, we're now at 150 members and counting just 4 months later.
Most exciting of all is seeing the community take shape aross all our clubs.
Really fun progress this past month across the community front as we highlight below. Take a look to learn more, or better yet, click below to tell us how you'd like to move into the neighborhood too!

Standing Member Nights πββοΈπββοΈ |
|
|
We'd dabbled with events in the past.
Following a recent member survey, it was clear that folks wanted more.
No need to twist our arm! We now have standing member nights twice a month and they've been a blast.
Same as you might have experienced at a grass club. Members simply sign up, show up, and we then coordinate fun and super laid-back scramble matches across clubs... complete with streaming and some banter back and forth too!

1 National Champ Coming! π
|
|
Responding to similar feedback from members, we jumped on the suggestion of not only coordinating local club championships... but using them to qualify members into a cross-club national championship as well.
All match play format, our round robin club championships are underway. Winners will qualify for an 8-player bracket spanning clubs that will ultimately get us to 1 Neighborhood National, National Champion prior to Thanksgiving. Just as we kick off of the "start to simulator season"... even though it's always sim season in our neighborhood. π

Save Strokes Around the Green: I'm absolutely not a "real pro," and acknowledging golf isn't short on "non-expert" opinions, I'll tell you that for me, getting to single digits was all about regular practice - which a sim certainly makes infinitely easier.
Not being a long hitter, going from sub 10 to a 5 was about short game. Landing the ball consistently within a yard (or so) from 5-15 yards.
Putting in the short game work with the accurate feedback you can get on really short shots from a high-end sim was a huge help in getting there.

Club Pro @ No. 10: Adam Christopher |
|
|
If you ever reach out to talk, you'll quickly find I'm as transparent as a summer day is long. That in mind, the start up at No. 10 - our latest, has gone exceedingly well. Easy to focus on the good and not on the challenges, we like to think our approach and experience have culminated with the success that we're seeing.
Q: Any surprises from your initial outreach to now?
A: Yes. Iβm honestly surprised on how seamless the process has been. Jeff has a proven process that leads to a smooth startup.
Q: Anything you would have done differently?
A: No, I donβt think so. Itβs important to do your due diligence and after a while of following Neighborhood National and now seeing how they operate, itβs a no-brainer.
Q: Any recommendations for considering starting up?
A: Give Jeff a call! He will absolutely not βsellβ you but will be 100% honest about the entire process.

If you're placing side bets on the scramble tourney player that's going to take home the closest to the center of the fairway prize... smart money is gonna be placed on our guy "Straight Shot Al."
Q: How often do you use the club?
A: I'm probably there 2-4 times a week, for an hour or 2 to practice. Maybe a little longer if playing with others.
Q: How difficult has it been to get tee times?
A: Not difficult at all. I generally book time on fairly short notice. I think that most others do too.
Q: What's been your favorite part of belonging to the club?
A: I'd say the people that I've met. And how much my game has improved. Honestly, probably a tie.
